Wheaton finished off their home opening weekend against Robert Morris University with a disappointing 8-4 loss. After a scoreless first period, the Thunder opened up the scoring, and later grabbed a 2-1 lead. Robert Morris found an equalizer late in the period, and both teams headed into the locker rooms with a 2-2 tie. RMU got out to a quick start in the third, grabbing two early goals, before a very back and forth period ultimately ended with Wheaton unable to make back the ground they had lost. Wheaton will regroup at practice this week, and look to bounce back next week at Western Illinois University.
